Our Story
A Historic Beginning: Pioneers in Chinese Lantern Festival in the U.S.
In 2012, we debuted one of the earliest large-scale Chinese Lantern Festivals in the United States — and the first of its kind at this scale and artistic level — in partnership with the State Fair of Texas.
This groundbreaking cultural celebration introduced hundreds of thousands of visitors to traditional lantern artistry and earned high praise from community leaders, including the Mayor of Dallas, the Chinese Ambassador, and other distinguished cultural representatives.
The event became a landmark success — recognized for promoting cultural exchange, artistic excellence, and international friendship. It established CAAWorks as a leader in immersive, world-class attractions.
Expanding Creative Horizons : ICELAND at Moody Gardens
In 2014, we introduced large-scale ice sculpture production to the U.S. market with ICELAND featuring SpongeBob SquarePants, an immersive ice-sculpture world created for Moody Gardens in Texas.
Since then, CAAWorks has proudly produced ICELAND every year, each time with a fresh and original theme. Our ice-carving teams — composed of world-renowned master ice artists — transform 2 million pounds of ice annually into jaw-dropping frozen worlds filled with artistry, color, and imagination.
Bringing Dinosaurs to Life
In 2020, we debuted our Animatronic Dinosaur Exhibit, featuring true-to-life movements, educational storytelling, and a complete turnkey trail experience.
Today, our dinosaur exhibits continue to travel to:
